Ronald E. Prendergast

Ronald Edmond Prendergast, 84 of Bethpage, TN and formerly of Beloit passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN.  Ronald was born in Georgetown, WV on December 8, 1931 the son of the late James and Grace (Hickman) Prendergast. Before his retirement he worked for the City of Twinsburg in the maintenance department.  Ron will be remembered for his love of the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years Janet (Powers) Prendergast whom he married on November 4, 1950, his children Debra (Paul) Bittner of Bethpage, TN, Wayne Prendergast of St. Petersburg Beach, FL, Darlene Coon of Vienna, WV, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three children; Cindy Prendergast, Jeffery Prendergast and Judy Thomas. He was also preceded in death by 9 siblings.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.  Friends may call from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Friday, May 6th at the funeral home.  Burial will take place at Quaker Hill Cemetery in Sebring.
