Our sincere condolence to all members of the family. She was a Grand Lady and will be missed by all who knew her. Our children have fond memories of our visits to the strawberry farm. May God continue to Bless her and all her good works.

The light of a candle represents the continuing hope of a well lived life. Marjorie exemplified this hope throughout her life, a life of service to others. You can't give without receiving something in return. In return for her gift of service, she was rewarded with a long life where she could remain a beacon of light and hope for her family to follow. I don't think it was by chance that she married someone named Hope after the death of her husband, Marcus. Their hope was found in Jesus Christ as a living memorial that hope like love never dies. Though I knew her and Marcuses record of community service, God also allowed me to encounter members of their family to give me understanding of why the family unit was created and ordained by God. Most of our hope is in the fact the works we've done speak for us and our life here on earth. The Bible tells us that their works do follow them after death. I've had the privelege of knowing Cathy and Rich Rufener as fellow church members, Grant and his sister as classmates and Marcus as a servant of the people fighting for their causes through the years. Richard Bach, the author of ' Jonathan Livingston Seagull ', wrote in his book, ' Illusions ', that the people, places and things in our lives are not there by happenstance. Rather because we have drawn them to us and once we do, we have to decide what to do with and about them. Marjorie was drawn into our lives to light up our lives and to remind us, she is the wind beneath our wings allowing us to fly like and on an Eagle's wing!
