Aunt Dot was a wonderful woman who had an appreciation for the little yet important things in life. She always remembered to send us Christmas cards every year with five dollars inside, and did this without fail for all the years of my childhood that I can recall. One year at Christmas, I had made up gift bags with homemade jams and pickles, and when I handed her the bag you'd have thought I had just given her bars of gold, so genuine was her appreciation for a simple and rather old fashioned gift. We will miss her very much.

Aunt Dorothy was the sweetest lady ever , I remember when they would come to Ohio for visits she would always bring me scraps of material to make quilts. She will be missed dearly!
