Obituary

Willard Ray Woods Jr. 60, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 surrounded by his family. Willard was born on March 2, 1963 to the late Willard and Shirley (Fryfogle) Woods Sr.

Willie was a 1981 graduate of West Branch High School. He resided in Beloit, Ohio for the majority of his life where he raised his five children. For the last decade, Will lived in Bonita Springs, Florida where he enjoyed sunshine and entertaining Florida friends, who became family, and hosting Ohio family and friends. He was a member of the Bonita Springs VFW, the Bonita Springs Moose Lodge, and the Sebring American Legion, where he made countless friends and left a lasting impact.

His passion for life was evident in his love for his family and friends. He was often seen cheering on his children and grandchildren at their various sporting events, his booming voice and infectious laughter filling the stands. He enjoyed playing cards, and telling stories and making people laugh over a beer. His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

He is survived by his wife, Megan (Brenner) Woods, his son Jacob Woods, and his daughters Annastasia, Amanda (Robert), Evelyn, and Jenessa Woods. He was a proud "Will Will" (grandfather) to Jocelynn, Indonika, Sevin, Zayla, Lantin, and Vivian Woods. Will also leaves behind his sister, Sis Woods and his brothers, Jeff (Sharon) Woods, and Steve (Desiree) Woods. He will also be remembered by his mother-in-law Evelyn Brenner, sister-in-law Amy Guy, brother-in-law Todd (Kelly) Brenner, family friend Nancy Penrod and many adored nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, William Brenner, brother-in-law, Danny Guy, and nephew, Stefan Guy.

Will's life was a testament to the power of love, compassion, and resilience. He taught us to cherish the moments we have with our loved ones, to laugh often, and to never take a single day for granted. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Willie had THE biggest heart.
