Randy Mosher Obituary

Randall C. (Randy) Mosher, 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, December 12, 2022 after a 6 month battle with cancer. He was born April 18, 1956 to Curt & Beverly Mosher of Damascus/Salem. He was a 1974 graduate of West Branch High School & a 1978 graduate of Baldwin Wallace College, where he majored in accounting. For many years he ran, & later was 3rd generation owner of, Bayless Propane Gas in Damascus, OH. After moving to Grove City, OH in 2008 he & his wife Peggy owned & operated two event centers, first Grand Oaks Event Center (which they built & is now the Aladdin Shrine Center) & later Cornerstone Event Center, both in Grove City, OH.

He is survived by his father, Curt Mosher; his wife and soulmate of 35 years, Peggy; his four children Tiffany (Greg) Huzyak, Ryan (Abby) Mosher, Andrea (Matt) Campbell, and Grant (Katrielle) Mosher; as well as seven grandchildren: Liliana & Jack Huzyak; Curtis, Aly, & Cameron Mosher; and Brooks & James Campbell; plus two granddogs, Wrangler & Oaklee Mosher. He is also survived by his siblings Debbie (Rich) Hawk, Russ (Treese) Mosher, and Dr. Jen Mosher. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Mosher, who passed away just two months prior.

Randy's favorite thing was always just to spend time with family, & he was never happier than when surrounded by his kids & grandkids. After moving last year to his "happy place", a home on Lake Norman in NC, he could often be found walking along the lake or boating/kayaking on it. He enjoyed being physically active & could generally be found down on the floor or out in the yard with his grandkids whenever they were around. He loved to watch OSU football, to read, and in years past had been an avid (and somewhat obsessive) golfer. He was a past president of the Salem Golf Club, past president of Salem Kiwanis, was on the Board for the Grove City Visitors Bureau, was a founding donor & volunteer for the Grove City Buddy Ball Dream baseball field for children with mental & physical disabilities and had been the lay leader for the Salem Salvation Army Christmas food & toy giveaway.

Please join us for a celebration of Randy's life at noon on Friday, December 30 at the First United Methodist Church of Salem, 244 S. Broadway, Salem, OH. Calling hours will precede the service from 10am-12pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio (RMHC Northeast Ohio, 10415 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44106 or online at https://www.rmhcneo.org/ways-to-give/donate/ ), which was a godsend to them in 2019 when Randy's grandson, Brooks, had to have a liver transplant. Friends and family may sign the guest register and send condolences online at www.grfuneralhome.com. Arrangements were entrusted to Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home, Sebring, OH (330) 938-2526.
