Nelda Mae (Myers) Brunie

Nelda Brunie, 89, of Sebring passed away at Crandall Medical Center on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. Nelda was born on February 18, 1931 to the late Arthur and Thais Myers. Nelda was a graduate of Sebring High School in 1949 and was a life long Sebring resident. She was self employed as a beautician. Nelda was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She made it her mission to take care of others.

Nelda is survived by her children Tod (Becky) Brunie of Sebring, Drew (Dee) Brunie of Sebring and Claudia (Tarafa) Homsi of Vienna, Virginia; grandchildren Beth Ann (Rob) Brutcher, Kimberly (Josh) Cullen, Amy (Corey) Blaszczyk, Chris Brunie, and Zane Homsi; great-grandchildren Luke Brutcher, Nate Brutcher, Drew Brutcher, twins Finley and Murphy Cullen. Besides her parents Nelda was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Richard Brunie who passed on December 1, 2013.

Nelda was a kind and giving person. To honor her memory and life, please do something kind for others. The family would like to thank the Copeland Oaks and Crandall staff and Dr. Vrable for an outstanding job during a time of great uncertainty. A private service will take place with interment at Highland Memorial Park, Beloit. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
