Mary G. Smith

Mary G. Smith 94 of Salem and formerly of Westville passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Grace Woods Senior Living Center in Salem, Ohio. Mary was born in Westville, Ohio on December 12, 1923 the daughter of the late Vernon and Violette (Crutchley) Stanley. She worked for 28 years as a Teacher in the Greentown, Greenford and West Branch School Districts. Mary was a member of the Community Bible Church in Westville for over 94 years. (where she was a member of the Golden Oldies Class), the Ohio Education Associating, AARP, Columbiana County Farm Bureau, and a volunteer at Copeland Oaks.

Survivors include her 2 sons Mark (Sue) Smith of Westville, Scott Smith of Westville, a daughter Christy Biery of Salem, 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband David V. Smith 2003, 3 sisters Dorothy Carns, Irene Heston, Lucille Stanley and 2 brothers William and Kenneth Stanley.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown funeral home on Saturday, April 21, 2018 with pastor John A. Tucker officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday the hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
