Marion Peters Obituary

Damascus - Marion Peters, age 76, passed away Saturday evening July 11, 2020, at the Community Care Center in Alliance after a 13-year battle with breast cancer.

She was very active with the Great Trail Girl Scout council for over 35 years, and a member of the Damascus United Methodist Church. Marion was also a staple at Alliance Walmart in the Fabrics and Crafts department for 23 years. Besides a guiding light to her children and grandchildren, she was an inspiration to many at the Damascus United Methodist Church and Walmart for her smile and positive attitude no matter what she was going through. Ask her how she was doing and her response was always, "I'm great!"

Marion was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Dorothea (Wolfe) Slack and husband Darwin Peters. She is survived by her brother Charles Slack and sister Dorothea (Slack) Carberry, her daughter Kristi (Peters) Hill, Kristi's husband Tyler Hill, her son Rick Peters, Rick's wife Randi (Slemmer) Peters, and granddaughters Anne and Charlotte Peters.
