Maria (Mutsch) Willis

Maria M. Willis 82 of Beloit passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Salem Regional Medical Center. She was born in Katsch, Yugoslavia on July 26, 1937 the daughter of the late Franz Mutsch and Eva (Meszaros) Mutsch. She worked as a seamstress at Cherry Hill Furniture and Stearns and Foster. Maria enjoyed sewing, attending flea markets and was known for her cooking and her flower garden at her home.

Survivors include a son William “Bill” (Nancy) Willis of Alliance; daughter Erika Leeds of Beloit; grandchildren Steven Meiring, Gloria Meiring, Matthew Willis, Lindsay Smeltzer, Elizabeth Willis; great grandchildren Brittany Taylor, Amber Wauffull, Sam Willis, Anthony Jordan, Landyn Powell, Zachary Powell, Nevaeh Santee and a great great grandson Maverick Wauffull. She is also survived by two sisters Kathie Muller and Lissy Winzenried. Besides her parents Maria was preceded in death by her husband William Willis who passed away on December 28, 2016; three brothers Franz, Josef and Hans Mutch and three sisters Edi, Appolonia and Lenka Mutsch.

A private family service will be held with Pastor Mark Reich officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
