Lillian Higgins Obituary

On Sunday October 9th, the heavenly gates opened and welcomed another precious angel. Lillian Michelle Higgins (Poteet-Davis) was suddenly and tragically taken from us to be fitted for her new heavenly wings. Lilly was born in Alliance, Ohio on May 13th, 2011 to Ashley and Corey Higgins. As a 6th grader at United Local school, she was wise beyond her years and very intelligent. She loved to sing and was a member of her class choir. Lilly was a very talented artist and loved to draw, write stories, and do all kinds of arts and crafts with her little sister, Annabelle. She was always so full of energy and loved to play games, swim, hike, kayak, dance, fish, ride bikes and four-wheelers. Lilly was fierce, fearless, and confident and took a liking to fashion and beauty. She was an animal lover, like her mom and a nature lover like her dad. She was the most kind and unselfish little girl out there, always thinking of others above herself. She attended Bunker Hill UMC where she was very active in the church and had great faith. She studied martial arts at Black Bird Fitness in Massillon, where she obtained her orange belt. Lilly had the best sense of humor and was always laughing and telling jokes. She knew exactly how to brighten up anyone's day and is truly the source of joy for many lives. She brought light to the darkness, sound to the silence, color to the bleakness, and an energy level nothing could ever match.
Lilly is preceded in death by her grandfather's Bill Poteet and Jeremy Davis, great grandparents Jim Jefferys, Linda Puckett, David Higgins Sr and Cliff and Mary Lou Craven and great aunt Jennie Poteet.
Lilly is survived by her loving parents, Ashley and Corey Higgins, a sister Annabelle (BoBo), grandparents Jacky Poteet, Darla Higgins, and Dirk Ritchie, great-grandparents Troy and Jayne Donaldson and Chuck Puckett, great-great grandmother Evelyn Summers, great aunt Joni Jefferys, aunts Astoria and Alea Poteet, Brea, Erica, and Jessie Davis, and Alisa Higgins, uncles Addison and Alex Poteet and Edward (Bridget) Rohr, and many other extended family members.
