Lee Ann Benner, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2023, at her home in Salem, Ohio. Born on November 28, 1947, to the late William and Mirriam (Oliver) Malloy, Lee Ann's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family, her love for her community, and her passion for her interests.
Lee Ann was a graduate of West Branch High School. She furthered her education by earning an Associates Degree from Kent State University. She worked as a Dental Assistant, a role she fulfilled with utmost professionalism and compassion for 12 years at Dr. Williams Dental Office in Salem.
On August 9, 1969, Lee Ann married the love of her life, Jack Benner. Their union was blessed with two sons, Bill (Jenn) Benner and Dan (Sarah) Benner, who were the pride and joy of Lee Ann's life. Her love extended to her five grandchildren, Dana (Caden Acquino) Levite, Brandon Levite, Todd Benner, Kent Benner, and Parker Benner, who will miss their grandmother's warm presence, loving advice, and delicious baked goods.
Lee Ann's interests and hobbies were as diverse and vibrant as she was. She was known for her knitting skills, creating beautiful pieces that were cherished by her friends and family. She also had a passion for baking, often filling her home with the delightful aroma of freshly baked goodies. However, of all her interests, spending quality time with her family was what she cherished the most. In her passing, we remember not just the end of a life, but the beautiful journey that was Lee Ann Benner's life. A journey filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Community Hospice 716 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
