Judith Ann (Hookey) Hartzell

Judith A. Hartzell 79 of Salem passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Judith was born in McDonald. Pennsylvania on August 15, 1940 the daughter of the late Rose (Saver) Hookey. She was a graduate of Salem High School and the Hannah E. Mullins School of Nursing. She worked as a Nurse at Akron Children's Hospital and many years at Salem Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her two sons; Kirk Hartzell of North Georgetown and Eric Hartzell of Detroit, Michigan, three grandchildren; Jessica, Allyson and Nate Hartzell. She is also survived by two brothers; Robert Hookey and Jerry Hookey. Besides her mother she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Hartzell in 1992.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Brown Funeral Home in Salem with Pastor P. Douglas George officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Burial will take place in North Georgetown Cemetery.
