Geoffrey Edward Marlo

Geoffrey E. Marlo, known by many as Geoff, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2023, in North Benton, Ohio. Born on August 27, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio, Geoff was a beloved husband, who lived a life full of love, resilience, and adventure.

Geoff was the cherished son of the late Howard and Agatha (Selka) Marlo. He was a brother to Paula, Neil, Lisa, and Maria, and held dear memories of his late siblings, Greg and Karen. Geoff graduated from Nordonia High School and embarked on a varied and fulfilling career path that demonstrated his adaptability and dedication. He was the loving husband to Gloria (Kerver) Marlo and the father of two children, Christine and Geoffrey, four grandchildren, Derek, Austin, Logan, and Isabelle.

Geoff continued his career at Ford in Alaska, where he held the position of Service Manager. Upon his return to Ohio, he explored various sales roles before finding his niche at the former Voss Enclosures. In his later years, Geoff operated as a Financial Trader from the comfort of his home, showcasing his acumen for numbers and strategy.

A true outdoorsman, Geoff held a particular fondness for fishing and boating. His love for the great outdoors was not just a hobby, but a passion that he shared with his family and friends. His tales of fishing exploits and boating adventures brought laughter and warmth to many gatherings, creating cherished memories for all who knew him. Geoff was also proud of his latest accomplishment, his Mariners license.

Geoff was a man of great strength and kindness, whose love for his family was only matched by his love for life itself. He touched many lives with his generosity, his wisdom, and his undying optimism. His spirit, his stories, and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 15, 2023 at 7:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home in Sebring. A time of gathering will take place the hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
