Donald Harry Jewell

Donald H. Jewell, 81, died on November 10, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. Born January 8,1940 to Robert and Helen (McKee) Jewell. He was a veteran of the United States Navy from 1957-1961. He proudly served aboard the USS Willard Keith. Retired from US Holland after 27 years and ACME Industrial Group after 9 years of service. He was a member of the Masons and the North End Next Generation in Alliance. In his later years he enjoyed spending time with his family, bird watching, and mowing his yard with a cold beer.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Robert ("Fred") Jewell and his sister Kathy (Jewell) Rinehart. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Gerry Jewell (Shasho), who he married on September 13, 1958. He is also survived by his sister Jodie (Jewell) Pisoni. His daughter Pam (Gwendell) Bolen and Brenda Porter along with his son Donald ("Buddy") (Amy) Jewell. His grandchildren Tony, Chris, and Tiffany Bolen; Shannon and George Holm; Danielle, McKenzie, and Haely Porter; Donnie (Tori) and Megan Jewell; and his 13 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice, Home Court Advantage, and the VA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home in Sebring, Ohio. Private family services have been arranged. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer's Association in Donald's name.
