Carl John Lenore

May 12, 1946 — January 30, 2024

North Benton

Carl J. Lenore, of North Benton, Ohio, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024, at the age of 77 in Alliance, Ohio. Born on May 12, 1946, in Midway, Pennsylvania, he was a man of integrity, warmth, and unwavering dedication to his family and his passions.

Carl's early years in Midway laid a strong foundation for a life filled with curiosity and learning. He furthered his education by attending Youngstown State University and later the University of Pittsburgh, where he honed his analytical skills that would serve him well throughout his career. Carl's professional journey as a chemist was marked by a meticulous nature and a quest for knowledge, yet it was his role as a lifelong farmer that truly captured his heart and soul.

Despite the loss of his beloved wife, Heather (Smith) Lenore, who preceded him in death on February 8, 2016, Carl's resilience and love for his family never wavered. He is survived by his four children, Lisa (Steve) Butler of Pittsburgh, PA, Julie (Chad) Bradley of Sebring, Scott Lenore of Alliance, and Rob Lenore of Alliance, six grandchildren, Mariah, Noah (Kloe), Gabriel Lanzer, Adriann Lenore, Austin Scheible, and Lily Butler, as well as his great-grandchild, Harlan Lanzer. Carl is also survived by his sister, Margaret Tepsic.

Carl's love for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him. As an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he rarely missed a game and often shared this passion with his family and friends. His love for hunting and fishing was more than just hobbies; they were a testament to his appreciation for nature and the simple joys of life. Carl's zest for life was infectious, and he could often be found outside, actively engaging with the world around him with a PBR in hand.
