Bruce Slagle Obituary

Bruce E Slagle, age 81 of Beloit, went home to be with the Lord Saturday December 28, 2019.

Born in Alliance, he is a son of the late Harry R. “Dick” Slagle and Elizabeth “Betty” Foutts Slagle. He graduated from Sebring High School and was married to Nancy Ware Slagle for 61 years. Bruce retired as an accountant from Alliance Machine. First and foremost he was a man of faith, a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and being outdoors. He was a member of Pine Lake Christian Church, Sebring Lions Club, Sebring Masonic Lodge No. 626 F. & A.M., Eastern Stars and Board Member of Copeland Oaks.

Survived by his wife Nancy, daughter Cheryl (husband Don), sons David (wife Amy), Donald, Michael (wife Eva), daughter Lynette (husband Kyle), grandchildren Andrea, Julianna, Alexis, Emma, Nicole, Dana, Joshua, Jonathon and Taylor and great grandchildren Kylie, Adah and Greyson, sister-in-laws Barb Slagle, Marilyn Scott and Martha Binkowski and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his brother Rick Slagle, his sister-in-law Patricia Richard and great granddaughter Maylee.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Pinelake Christian Church at 7:00 PM with Pastor Mike Harshman officiating. Friends and family will be received prior to the service from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the church. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:45 PM at the church. Inurnment will take place at Grandview Cemetery, Sebring. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made in Bruce's honor to Copeland Oaks, 800 S. 15th St. Sebring, Ohio 44672 or Sebring Lions Club, 306 W.
