William Ernest 'Ernie' Yeagley, 85, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend was called home to the Lord on July 27, 2019. He entered this world on October 1, 1933 in his home in Sebring, Ohio, born to Raymond and Lucille Yeagley. He is survived by his brother Robert (Joann) Yeagley of Sebring, sister Sandra (Bill) Lyons of Sebring, sister Patricia (Henry) Good of Salem, daughters Stacey (Steven) Carter of Sebring, Toni (Dwayne) Seabolt of Homeworth, and son Bill (Deb) of Michigan. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. William served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War from 1951 through 1953. A viewing will begin Thursday, August 1st, 2019 at 11:00am, followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home. After the funeral service, we'll gather at the American Legion in Sebring for a memorial dinner.
William spent most of his life in the Sebring area although he did live in other areas. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1951 through 1953 which was during the Korean War. He served in the 1st Marines Division. He was a Sebring Auxiliary policeman for a time. He was a driver for the famous Author James A. Michener., and a truck driver. He was also employed at the Royal China, where he stayed until it closed, James River paper and retired from Homer Laughlin China. He was a member of the Sebring Lions Club and a member of the Sebring VFW. He has made many good friends over the years, and we are grateful for every single one of them. William spent most of his later years with his loyal dog Tigger, whom he loved dearly. William Yeagley was the Patriarch of his family. His wisdom, love and compassion was a guiding light in our lives. He would help anyone anyway he could. He genuinely cared about everyone.
