Virginia Arietta Lutz, born on February 11, 1940, in Littleton, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, in Sebring, Ohio. She was a cherished member of her community and held dear by her family and friends.
Virginia had a dedicated career, initially serving as a secretary for Joseph Mastroiani before embarking on a fulfilling role at Giant Eagle, where she worked in the bakery department until her retirement. Her contributions in both roles showcased her work ethic and her commitment to providing excellent service.
In her personal life, Virginia was a long-time member of the Sebring Friends Church, a place that greatly influenced her values and community connections. She took joy in reading and relished spending time with her grandchildren, who were a constant source of happiness for her. Whether dining out with family and friends or visiting and supporting those she loved, Virginia possessed a warm spirit and a welcoming smile that touched many lives.
Virginia is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly (Stanley) Worthington and Virginia M. Smith; and three beloved grandchildren, Brandon (Rachael Grush) Worthington, Kaitlin (Cody Parsons) Worthington, and Erin Smith. She is also survived by her three siblings, Gloria "Susie" (Lynn) Moore, Maureen "Tommy" Mackey, and Michele Stiles, as well as her sister-in-law, Carolyn Longwell, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lutz, in 2005, and three siblings: Newman Longwell, Zarona Butler, and Denzel John Longwell.
A viewing will be held on March 10, 2026, at Sebring Friends Church, located at 615 S. Johnson Rd., Sebring, OH, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM with Pastor Lynn Moore Officiating. Virginia will be laid to rest at Quaker Hill Cemetery.
