Suzanne Righetti

With heavy hearts, we share the peaceful passing of our beloved Suzanne Helen Righetti on October 13, 2025, at the age of 75.

Born on August 3, 1950, in Avon Lake, Ohio, Suzie grew up in Bay Village Ohio surrounded by love in the home of her parents, Helen and Kenneth Harrison, alongside her brother Tim. She was a proud graduate of Bay Village High School. That same love and warmth became the foundation of the life she built as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend.

To meet Suzie was to become friends with her. She could make life long friendships standing in line at the grocery store. She enjoyed hanging out with the girls at the Salem Country Club where she served as a board member for two years. Her love and kindness that she extended to everyone that she met was a gift that endeared her to so many people throughout her life.

Known as "Q" to her closest friends, Susie spent many years working as a bank teller and account executive where she treated every customer like a friend, not a transaction. She remembered names, stories, and made people feel seen and valued. Outside of work, her greatest joy was gathering her family around the dining room table, where holidays and game nights were filled with laughter, love, and Suzie's signature warmth.

She was endlessly proud of her children and grandchildren, and she made sure everyone knew it. Her Facebook posts were filled with joyful updates, funny anecdotes, and the occasional joke she found online always shared with the intention of spreading a little happiness. Suzie's joy for life was infectious, and her spirit lifted those lucky enough to know her.

Suzie and her husband Pat shared countless Harley rides together, wind in their hair, laughter in their hearts, and the occasional bickering that only made their bond stronger. They doted on each other in the most endearing ways, and Pat's devotion to Suzie, especially in her final months, was nothing short of extraordinary. His care, patience, and love were a true gift, and the family is deeply grateful for the way he honored her every day.

Suzie also found immense joy in her friendships. Whether it was card club, dinners out, or the annual Christmas gift exchanges, she cherished the time spent with her friends and the laughter they shared. Her social circle was a source of happiness and support, and she gave just as much love as she received.

She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Patrick Righetti; her sons Matthew (Amber) DeBarr and Michael (Tricia) DeBarr; her stepchildren Kim (Aaron) Svabik and Joseph (Jamie) Righetti; her sister-in-law Linda Harrison; her niece Stefanie Boyles; her nephew Ryan Harrison; and her treasured grandchildren: Grayson and Olivia DeBarr, Boston DeBarr, Andrew and Joshua Svabik, Alex Righetti, Tyler Castro, Laelee Righetti, and Andrea Heffelfinger. She also leaves behind countless relatives and close friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Kenneth Harrison; her brother Tim Harrison; and her stepson Sean Righetti, with whom she shared over 30 years of love and laughter.

A celebration of Suzie's life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Elks Club in Salem. A private service for close friends and family will take place from 2-3 p.m., followed by a public celebration of life in the main hall from 3-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Association, an organization close to Suzie's heart.

Mom, thank you for your unconditional love, your unwavering support, and your endless grace. You were our home and all of the good inside of us was left there by you. Although you are no longer here with us in person, your values and the way you carried yourself during your life will forever guide us in ours.
