Stephen Thomas Sutton

It is with both heavy hearts and joyous memories that we announce the passing of Stephen Thomas Sutton, a beloved husband, father, and dedicated professional, who left this world on April 12, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on June 8, 1960, in Washington, Pennsylvania, the son of Raymond and Helen (Marchwinski) Sutton. Tom made his home with his wife Melissa (Nichols) Sutton whom he married March 14, 1987. Tom resided in Hammondsville, Ohio, where he lived a life filled with love, laughter, and purpose.

Tom was a proud graduate of Penn State with a Bachelor's Degree and devoted his professional life to the animal feed sales industry as a Territory Manager for All Tech. His passion for his work was matched only by his love for his family.

He is survived by his devoted spouse, Melissa Sutton; his son, Lucas (Shania) Sutton; and his daughter, Rebecca (Ian) Catlett, grandchildren Carrigan, Calum, Colson Catlett and Elijah Sutton, and his beloved hunting buddy Captain. He is also survived by brothers Richard, David, Ed Sutton and sister Annett Palichat. Besides his parents Tom was preceded in death by a son Ryean Sutton and a sister Linda Smith.

Toms legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and all who knew him. Tom was an avid outdoors man loved hunting ,fishing, golf and gardening. He also held a passion for music and cooking. He loved spending time with family and friends especially his grandchildren who referred to him as Crazy Pappy. He always loved having a good time and enjoyed good party. Tom was a member and past president of the Eagles, Nights of Columbus and the Delta Theta Sigma fraternity.

In celebration of Tom's remarkable life, we invite family and friends to join us for a special memorial mass where we will honor his memory. The service will take place shortly after his cremation, on Monday, April 20, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Catholic Church in Summitville, Ohio, as we gather to reminisce, share stories, and celebrate the incredible impact Tom had on all our lives.
While we mourn his passing, we also encourage everyone to reflect on the many joyful moments shared with Tom. Let us come together to commemorate his life with the vibrancy and warmth that he brought to our lives.

As we bid farewell to an exceptional man, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness, integrity, and love.
