Sandra K. Westwood, of Sebring, a beloved educator and devoted musician, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026 in Alliance, Ohio, shy of her 87th birthday. Born on March 2, 1939, in Youngstown, Ohio, Sandra dedicated her life to the service of others through education and music.
With a strong passion for teaching, Sandra earned a master's degree in Reading, equipping her with the tools to ignite a love for learning in her students. She imparted her knowledge and wisdom as a teacher at Jackson Milton Schools, where she inspired countless young minds throughout her tenure. Her commitment to education left an indelible mark on both her students and her community.
In addition to her academic endeavors, Sandra was an accomplished pianist. She spent 18 enriching years sharing her love of music by teaching piano, nurturing the talents of aspiring musicians with patience and care. Her passion for music and education intertwined beautifully, allowing her to foster creativity and expression in many.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Mildred (Broomhall) Westwood. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, diligence, and inspiration that will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey through life was characterized by an unwavering dedication to her craft and those she served, making a significant difference in the lives of many. Burial will take place at Forrest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Boardman Ohio. Services have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Sebring Chapel, (330) 938-2526, www.grfuneralhome.com.
