Ruth Ellen Hahlen, 94 of Lisbon, passed away at home on Friday, June 5, 2015; she was born in Youngstown, Ohio on June 10, 1920 the daughter of the late Jesse and Polly (Hash) Boughner. Ruth worked as a cook in the late 1960’s early 70’s at Pinky’s in New Garden, Ohio; she was a member and attended the Alliance YMCA for over 30 years, and enjoyed sewing, golf and watching her favorite TV Westerns.
Survivors include her daughter Louise Dickens-Martin of Lisbon, 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; she is also survived by a sister Betty Zetts of Youngstown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Getz in 1973, her second husband Glenn Hahlen in 2005 and 5 siblings; William Boughner, Lillian Virginia Evenson, Mary McCutchen, Martha Lepsik and Agnes McCormick.
