Ronald F. Russell

Ronald F. Russell, 87 of Alliance passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 26, 2023. Ron was born in Alliance on Friday, December 20, 1935 the son of the late Herman and Mildred (Murphy) Russell. He was a 1954 graduate of Alliance High School and a graduate of Purdue University. He retired from Paul A. Kintz Construction Co. as Vice President. Ron was a life member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance, life member of K of C Council 558, life member of Alliance BPO Elks Lodge 467 and Past President of the former Alliance Exchange Club. He enjoyed boating, golfing (hole in one on April 15, 1993 on Hole #12 at Sleepy Hollow CC), and cheering for the Purdue Boilermakers, Wisconsin Badgers, UMU Purple Raiders, Alliance Aviators and Cleveland sports teams.

Survivors include his wife Karen Sue (Weaver) Russell whom he married on September 9, 1989, sons Dr. Jeffrey (Vicki) Russell of Madison, WI, Mitchell (Jennifer) Russell of Evans GA, and daughters Tracy Adams and Susie Russell of Ft. Wayne, IN. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a brother Jim (Jill) Russell of Wilson, WY. Besides his parents Ronald was preceded in death by an infant son Derrick Lincoln Russell who passed away in May 1965.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. A time of visitation will be held at the church the hour prior to Mass from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
