Robert W. Metzgar

Robert W. Metzgar, 57, of Salem passed away at his home on Friday, January 21, 2022. He was born in Salem the son of the late Robert Allen Metzgar and Louise B. (Rosier) Kinsey. He was a US Navy Veteran, a member of the Salem AMVETS, VFW and the Independent Hose Company. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and spending time with his friends and family.

Survivors include his son Travis (Rachel) Metzgar, a grandson Hunter Metzgar, and three sisters; Debra Fuson, Marilyn (James) Winters, Stacy (Denver) Marks and Beverly (Steven) Hutter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Wayne Metzgar, Sister Julia Barton, grandson Ryder Metzgar and a niece Amanda Sheen.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Salem at 3:00 PM. A time of visitation will be held the hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Military honors will be provided by the Salem AMVETS.
