Robert W. Manypenny, a lifelong dairy farmer of North Benton, passed away on March 14, 2019, at the age of 93. Robert was born to Lawrence B. and Ida Marty Manypenny on April 2, 1925 in North Benton. He graduated from McKinley High School in Sebring. He, his father, and brother. Glenn E., farmed the family dairy farm on Johnson Road from 1942 until 1960. From 1960 until 1991, Robert partnered with his brother, Glenn. The farm was sold in 1993. Robert married Yvonne Leask on August 5, 1961. Robert was well known for his quick wit and ability to find answers to any problem. When he was not spending time farming or spending time with is family he enjoyed gardening, reading and puzzles.
Robert is survived by his step-children Sally Sampson of Deerfield; Sandra Stout of Alliance, Arlene Picciano of Canton, Dan Langties (Lilia) of Salem, Norman Langties of Santa Ana, California and George (Jane) Langties of Salem; daughter-in-law Sue Langties; 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. besdies his parents Robert was preceded in death by three son-in-laws Don Sampson, Milbur Stout and Joe Picciano; step son Jack and Travis Langties and two brothers Glenn and Francis.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Jody Hill officiating. Friends will be received the hour prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made in Robert's honor to Aultman Alliance Community Hospice 2461 W. State St. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
