Ralph Edward Crum, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, in Berlin Center, Ohio. Born on September 21, 1960, in Salem, Ohio, Ralph lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a profound love for the outdoors.
Throughout his life, Ralph pursued a career as an independent contractor, embracing the challenges and rewards of self-employment with determination and skill. His professional endeavors reflected his commitment to integrity and excellence.
Ralph's passions extended beyond his career; he was an avid fisherman and hunter who found solace and joy in nature's tranquility. He cherished spending time playing cards and dice, activities that not only entertained but also offered moments of camaraderie with friends and loved ones. Additionally, Ralph delighted in mushroom hunting, an interest that connected him deeply with the natural world.
He was born to Melvin and Tiney Crum and was preceded in death by them, along with his sister Connie Novak and brothers David and Harry. Ralph is survived by five beloved siblings-Vickie Greathouse, Robert Crum, Goldie Mace, Jane Hall, and Larry Crum-who remember him with love and respect. He also leaves behind a stepdaughter, Jessica Baughman, as well as three cherished grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who will carry forward his memory and spirit.
A visitation to honor and remember Ralph will be held on June 1, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Hartzell Cemetery, located on Hartzell Road in North Benton, Ohio. This will be followed by a graveside service at the same location from 11:00 AM, providing family, friends, and community members a final opportunity to pay their respects.
