Patricia Crowl

Patricia A. Crowl, born on October 18, 1940, in Salem, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her hometown on January 25, 2025. A cherished member of her community and a devoted family matriarch, Patricia's life was a tapestry woven with love, loyalty, and memorable moments.

A proud graduate of Salem High School, class of 1958, she embodied the spirit of her hometown. She was a member of Salem First Methodist Church. Throughout her life, Patricia held deep passions, notably her love for her cats and her unwavering support for the Pittsburgh Steelers, showcasing her vibrant personality that endeared her to all who knew her. Yet, above all, her family was the cornerstone of her existence.

Patricia is survived by her beloved children: sons Russell (Brenda) Metz of Ashland, James Metz of West Point, Kenneth Adams of Salem; daughters Amy (Dan) Ray of Salem, Lori (Scott) Brooks of Salem, Christine Adams of Salem, Kimberly Boggs of Little River, SC, and Lou Ann Metz. Her legacy continues through her 22 grandchildren-Kenny, Mike, Rylee, Patti, Anna, Ashley, Jess, Jessica, Cristie, Jerry, Nicole, Zach, Heather, Michael, Samantha, Jackie, Jamie Lynn, Susan, Joey, Steven, Candi, and Sean-as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward.

Patricia was also the loving sister of Joan Fisher. She will be deeply missed by her family, who will honor her memory with the warmth and love she so generously gave.

She was preceded in death by her parents Willard and Anna (Hanson) Crowl, her son Lawrence Robert Metz, and her infant great-granddaughter, who join her in eternal rest.

A viewing will take place on January 29, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home located at 510 Jennings Ave, Salem, OH 44460. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location, commencing at 7:00 PM with Pastor Bruce Irwin, officiating.

Patricia A. Crowl's life was a testament to the enduring strength of family bonds, and she leaves behind a rich legacy of love and cherished memories.
