Melissa Blackmon

Melissa Marie Blackmon, 35, passed away on July 23, 2025. Born on October 23, 1989, she grew up with a bright spirit, a kind heart, and an unwavering dedication to the people she cared about most.

Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Donald Blackmon; brother, Richard Blackmon; uncle, Edward Blackmon; aunt, Mary Savage; and grandparents, Richard and Carol Christen. She is survived by her mother, Lori Blackmon; brother, Todd (Stephanie) Blackmon; and beloved nieces, Grace, Arielle, and Harper, who brought her endless joy; aunt, Wanda Ellsworth; aunt Colleen Senk, uncle Thomas Senk, and cousin Andrew (Minyeta) Senk. She also leaves behind numerous cousins, dear friends, and her cherished dogs, Tito and Toasty-her constant companions.

A proud graduate of Alliance High School, Class of 2008, Melissa went on to fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse, graduating from Aultman School of Nursing in 2017. She poured her heart into her work, taking great pride in helping patients heal and supporting their families during challenging times.

Melissa's passions extended beyond her profession. She was a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Guardians, and the Indiana Pacers, always ready to cheer on her teams. Her warmth, humor, and compassion touched everyone she met, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and love.

Melissa will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched. A Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Family Church, 8200 Freedom Ave. NW North Canton, OH 44720, with a gathering to follow.
