Mary E. Hahlen,87, of Sebring and formerly of Alliance, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring. She was born in Beloit, Ohio on August 31, 1935 the daughter of the late Ralph A. and Verna (Seibert) Lockhart. Mary was a 1953 graduate of Sebring McKinley High School. She was a member of East Goshen Friends Church and retired from the Banking industry. She enjoyed to reading especially one of historical value, she also like to sew and solving crossword puzzles. Mary was always interested in what her family was up to, she loved to attend her grandchildren's band and choir performances. She was a fan of Musicals whether live or on television even having her own collection of favorites on video at home. Before her husbands passing they could always be found socializing with their friends at the local McDonalds.
Survivors include a daughter Diane Lynn (Bill) Jackson of Beloit; son Michael Thomas (Pam) Hahlen of Dublin, Ohio; grandchildren Nicholas (Joni) and Odessa Jackson, Molly Hahlen two great-grandchildren Ethan and Charles Jackson. She is also survived by a brother Allen Lockhart. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Richard L. Hahlen whom she married on February 4, 1955 and passed on May 7, 2019 a brother Fred Lockhart, a sister Carol Diehl and a sister Phyllis Gfeller.
A funeral service will be held on at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home in Sebring. A time of visitation will take place at the funeral home the hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
