Marjorie E (Evans) Mcneillie

Marjorie E. McNeillie of Sebring entered into eternal rest in her 93rd year, on July 17, 2018, at Copeland Oaks, Sebring, OH. Born May 20, 1925 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was a longtime resident of Lakeside, OH and Copeland Oaks.



She was the loving wife of the late James R. McNeillie, beloved mother of James R. McNeillie Jr. (Janie), of Houston, TX; daughters Nancy V. A. McNeillie, of Baltimore, MD; and Mary R. F. McNeillie-Gross (Harlen), of Covington, KY; and grandson, Rev. Richard A. McNeillie, of Houston, TX. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Robert D. and Ruth L. Evans; and sister, Nancy E. Garland.



Marjorie was an active member of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Chatham University and the University of Pittsburgh and taught high school biology before becoming a full time mother to her family. She was a Past Matron and member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a great lover of music and books which she passed on to her children.



A memorial service will be held August 19th at 2pm in Bennett Chapel, Copeland Oaks.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Life Care Fund at Copeland Oaks.
