Kim Marie (Kelly) Briggs went home to our Lord on Friday, March 11th at 1:20AM at Hospice of the Valley in Poland Ohio after a brave 14 month battle with Breast Cancer.
Born May 4, 1959 in Alliance, Ohio, Kim loved her family, gardening, and most of all helping others. Kim was a member of Salem First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry R Kelly and her grandparents.
Kim is survived by her mother Linda R Kelly of Salem, her husband Lloyd E Briggs of Salem, whom she married on 06/19/1999, her beloved dog Ollie, her twin sister Karen (Bob) Floor of Salem, her brother Kurt (Donna) Kelly of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, as well as a nephew, a niece, 2 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew. She had a special place in her heart for the children she babysat and considered as family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 19 at 3:00PM, with greetings beginning at 2:30, in the Sanctuary of the Salem First United Methodist Church located at 244 S Broadway Ave, Salem, Ohio 44460. The service will be followed at the Church at 4:00 by a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser to help Kim’s family with the expenses of fighting her cancer. Cost of the dinner is $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for children 7-12 years old.
