Kenneth A. Boatright, 79, of Deerfield passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Kenneth was born on April 16, 1942 to the late Patton and Callie (Salyers) Boatright in West Liberty, Kentucky. Kenneth was a proud and highly decorated Vietnam Veteran. Kenneth owned and operated Kuntzman Trucking Company and helped his former wife Judith with her business, American Mortgage Funding Group. In Kenneth's free time, he enjoyed boating, travel and "pickin' & grinnin". He was a born storyteller and never met a stranger.
Kenneth is survived by his children Cindy Skinner and Tim (Patsy) Boatright; grandchildren Caleb Skinner, Hannah Skinner, Aaron Shoup and Christopher Boatright; step-grandchildren Victoria Lynch, Jacob Lynch, Taylor Smith, Alyssa Smith, Jamy Spencer, Madeline Spencer, Sabrina Spinner and Austin Spinner; great-grandchildren Austin Shoup, Chase Shoup, Rory Boatright; sisters Pearl Cornett, Louise Hall and Irma Sue Blevins; and his best friends Matt Savula and Ray Fetters. Besides his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Judith Albright Boatright who passed away on June 12, 2019.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Hunter Fraley officiating. Friends and family will be received Monday, May 10, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio with Military Honors on Tuesday at 2:00 PM.
