Among the accomplishments that meant the most to her was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Karen Sue McCullough, of Salem, Ohio, passed away on September 27, 2026, in Salem. She was born on February 8, 1958, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Karen will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and loved one whose greatest joy was found in the people closest to her. She worked for over 30 years at Ort Furniture Manufacturing in Salem, a reflection of her steady dedication and strong work ethic. Among the accomplishments that meant the most to her was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Traci Wells and Stacy McCullough, and by their family of eight children: Jasmine, Tyler, Jacob, Trey, Manny, Kiley, Leiah, Connor, and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers; Kerry Smolira, Kevin (Noreen) Smorlira. Karen’s family was the center of her life, and the love she shared with them will remain a lasting part of her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Betty Smolira.
A Gathering of Friends and Family will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 510 Jennings Ave, Salem, OH 44460.
