Karen Elizabeth King, a member of the Sebring, community, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026. Her journey began on June 15, 1944 the daughter of the late George and Ruby (Dillon) Glekler. An honor graduate of Sebring McKinley High School, Karen lived a life marked by dedication to family, faith, and joyful fellowship.
Karen's life was a celebration of connection and care. Among her proudest accomplishments were her vibrant participation in church activities, where she shared her time and musical talents, delighting many with her accordion playing. Equally, she found immense joy in playing games and spending quality time with family and friends.
She is survived by her devoted children Shelia (Paul) Mobley, George (Jen) Hill, Lori Martin, Gary "Boomer" King, and Becky (John) Fano. Her legacy flourishes through her nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, each a source of immense pride and joy to Karen. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband George Hill, her second husband Gary King, her beloved grandson Dustin Martin, as well as her brother George Glekler and sister Kay Rine.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Brown Funeral Home, Sebring Chapel at 11:00 AM. A time of visitation will be held the hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
