Joseph Vincent Cadile, 82 of Beloit passed away at home on Palm Sunday, March 29, 2026. He was a graduate of Wintersville High School and had a degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Salem School of Technology. He retired as the President and CEO of Crane Services, Inc. (CSI, Inc.) which was also a joint venture between NOELL of West Germany for sixteen years. After college he joined Morgan Engineering in Research and Development which was acquired by AMCA International (United Dominion Industries). He enjoyed the challenges and the career development that led him to many responsibilities he gained such as AMCA Corporate Strategic Planning and Business Development Manager and General Manager at Morgan Engineering. He sat on many Committees for ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and ANSI (American National Standards Institute) for thirty years. He was one of twenty-two voting members in these organizations for the approval of all Codes and Standards written in the United States dealing with nuclear standards and was the Chairman of The Executive Committee on Cranes for Nuclear Facilities for over twenty years. His expertise was in material handling utilizing overhead cranes and lifting devices which had him in demand as a crane specialist where he was the expert hired by the government for the First Intermodal Center in the United States out of Huntsville, Alabama. Through his years he was in and out of many steel mills and was one of their contracted experts at U. S. Steel.
Joe was an active member of St. Ann Catholic Church. He was committed to service at the church helping the Priests and the Diocese, making donuts and initiated the Lenten Season Pierogi Sales. His service was even outside in the community being on the Board of Copeland Oaks Senior Living Center and Kent State University Salem Branch.
Joe grew up playing the guitar and was in rock band while in college. While in that band, The Off-Beats, he met his wife, Nancy Lee Grimm, who he is survived by along with their daughters and spouses, Michelle Cadile and Bob Hiltbrand of Massillon, Paula and Kenny Oesch of Alliance, Pam Cadile and Don Firca of Akron. Three grandchildren, Sydney and Joe Firca and Dymond Oesch.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents that both died together Samuel J. Cadile, Sr. and Antoinette Marie "Ann" Cadile and his brother Samuel J. Cadile, Jr.
Please join us for visitation on Monday, April 6 at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home, 126 W. Vermont Ave. from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 7 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church, 323 S. 15th St. Sebring, Ohio with Fr. Thomas Dyer officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Beloit, Ohio. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Sebring Chapel (330) 938-2526, www.grfuneralhome.com.
