John J. Henry 96. Previously of Beloit/Alliance.Ohio area. John passed away at his daughter's home in Homosassa Florida on Sept 8, 2024. John was born March 29, 1928, in Woodland West Virginia. A man with a heart full of kindness and a passion for people and music, John's presence brought joy to the lives of many.

Johns faith was an integral part of his life, and he enjoyed sharing his beliefs with others John had a deep love for playing the guitar and banjo. He would often visit nursing homes in the area, singing and playing the favorite hymns of the residents. With a perpetual smile on his face, John never hesitated to strike up a conversation with anyone he met. He had a genuine love for people and cherished the sight of their smiles.

After dedicating 38 years of his life to American Steel in Alliance, Ohio, John retired and traveled the US with his wife. Spending time with his grandchildren. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion. He had proudly served his country during World War II in Japan. Alongside his working life, John was actively involved in his local churches, often lending his skills to build and remodel various places of worship. With a talent for fixing and creating, he was a jack of all trades.

John was preceded in death by his wife Olive of 63 years in 2012 his daughter Carolyn Moreland, his son Richard, and his grandson William Dailey. He is survived by his children, Darlene Henry of St Cloud, FL, Delores (Terry) Cameron of Alliance, Ohio, Kevin ( Kathy) Henry of Homeworth, Ohio, and Cheryl Dailey of Homosassa, FL. Additionally, he leaves behind ten grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and even some great-great-grandchildren.

John J. Henry's warm and caring nature, along with his musical talents and dedication to his community, will be remembered fondly by all those whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Keith Frederick officiating. Friends and family will be received the hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Beloit.
