Jerry H. Lanning

Jerry H. Lanning, 77 of Alliance passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at The Legends in Massillon, Ohio. Jerry was born in Sebring, Ohio on July 09, 1941 the son of the late Jerry Lanning and Ruth (Creamer) Lanning Buzzard. He retired from American Steel Foundries in Alliance after several years of service. Mr. Lanning enjoyed the outdoors; going camping and fishing; he also liked listening to country music. Most important he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include; his children; Sharon (Raymond) Rowley, Larry (Tammy) Lanning, six grandchildren; Christi (Jason) Drake, Douglas Drake, Alexandra (Rich) Broomfield, Odin Rowley, Joy Lanning, Nicholas Lanning, four great grandchildren Alice Tully, Cameron Tully, Nathaniel Broomfield and one great grandchild on the way. He is also survived by a brother Don Lanning. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary (Monter) Lanning in April 28, 2001, two sisters; Doris Bright, Linda Thacker and a brother Nelson Lanning.

A funeral service will beheld on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home in Sebring at 1:00 PM with Pastor Mark Reich officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday the hour prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
