Janet Kay Oprandi

Jan 3, 1938 — Jun 30, 2026

Janet Oprandi, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family and the many lives she touched throughout her years.

Born on January 3, 1938, in Alliance, Ohio, Janet was the cherished daughter of Russell and Virginia Kinser. She spent her life embracing family, friendship, and the simple joys of making others smile.

Janet is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Jodi (Ralph) Handy, and Lisa (Eric) Boring. She was a proud grandmother to MacKenzie (Jeremy) Thomas and Cade Boring, and she treasured every moment with her great-grandson, Palmer Thomas, who brought immense happiness to her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Russell and Virginia Kinser, and by her dear friend, Linda Householder, whose friendship meant so much to her throughout the years.

Janet dedicated 23 years of service to Mount Union College before completing her career at Copeland Oaks. She was known for her dedication, kindness, and genuine care for others throughout her working years.

Janet spent her final years at Crandall Medical Center, where she continued her cherished friendship with her good friend, Arlene Baddeley. Their companionship brought comfort, laughter, and joy to each other, and their friendship remained a special blessing throughout Janet's final years.

Janet also leaves behind her lifelong friend, Denise Ramey. Their friendship began when they were little girls and grew into a treasured bond that lasted a lifetime. Through the years, they shared countless memories, laughter, and unwavering support, a testament to the enduring gift of true friendship.

To know Janet was to love her. She was a joy to everyone she met. Her warm heart, infectious laughter, and wonderful sense of humor had a way of brightening every room she entered. Janet had a remarkable personality that could bring smiles to faces and laughter to any gathering. She made people feel welcome, valued, and loved simply by being herself.

Above all, Janet's greatest joy was her family. She took immense pride in their accomplishments, celebrated life's milestones with them, and shared an unconditional love that will continue to inspire them for generations.

Janet's legacy of kindness, laughter, friendship, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the joy she shared will remain a lasting comfort to her family and friends.
