James R Potts

James R. Potts passed away on June 18, 2026, after a short stay at a Skilled Nursing Facility, at the age of 64. Born on June 5, 1962, in Canton, the son of the late Robert and Mary (Allan) Potts.

A graduate of United High School, he worked at Peoples Lumber as a foreman, as well as Busy Beaver; until he became the caregiver of his father for many years. Jim enjoyed all type of sports. However he was the happiest to spend time with his grandchildren, especially when they came over to swim at the family farm.

James is survived by his son Ben Potts Hanoverton, and his granddaughter Molly L. Potts of Salem, daughter, Amanda (Mike) Fisher, and his three grandsons; Brayson, Kace, Nash all of Hanoverton. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Potts.
