July 12, 1942 — April 7, 2026

Haymond Eugene Radcliff of Salem, Ohio passed away peacefully with his family at his side on April 7th 2026 at the age of 83 following a brief battle with cancer. Born July 12th 1942 in Glenville, WV. Haymond was the son of the late Samuel and Lola (Pritt) Radcliff. He was raised in a loving family and grew up alongside many brothers and sisters. He graduated from Roosevelt - Wilson High School in 1962, and was soon after drafted into the United States Army, where he served his country with quiet dedication.

Haymond married Ruth Ann Conley on December 30th 1966, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter for nearly six decades. They settled in the Salem area and raised two sons, Brian and Daryl, both of Salem. Haymond retired from South Range Schools and in his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing horseshoes, shooting pool and anything to do with westerns - whether in print or on screen. Friends and family will remember his warm smile and his many stories of growing up and times spent outdoors hunting and fishing with family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted wife Ruth Ann, sons Brian (wife Julie) and Daryl (wife Wendy) both of Salem. Three grandchildren Brittany (husband Micheal) of Albany, TX, Annaliese of Austintown and Eli (fiancé Kat) of Mineral Ridge, Brothers Harvey (wife Deena) of Salem, Hearlon of Volga, WV; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Haymond was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Lola Radcliff, brothers Harlon Radcliff and Harley Radcliff. Sisters Gladys Stalnaker,Lucille Webb, Lucy Weese, Lora (Aunt Tiny) Simmons and Lessie Dean.

Haymond believed in celebrating life and in place of a formal service he asked that family and friends remember a special moment shared with him and raise a drink of your choice to him with a smile

Haymond will be deeply missed and remembered as a loving son, husband, dad, brother, and Uncle. Favorite memories of him are found everywhere from little children yelling "UNCLE HAMMIE" across a wedding ceremony, times with him dancing with his wife to the Golden Sounds playing at Terrace Lakes Campground, or on top of tables at relatives weddings, the many card games played around family kitchen tables along with numerous fishing and hunting trips spent with family and friends.

Haymonds family extends their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers and friends who offered support during his illness. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sharing a favorite memory of him with somebody, spending some time outdoors in his honor, or simply pausing to appreciate a good western. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Salem Chapel, (330) 337-6363, www.BrownFHonline.com.
