Gregory D Oesch

Gregory Dean Oesch, 74, of Salem, Ohio passed away in the comfort of his home,
surrounded by his loved ones on July 25, 2026. Greg, son of Donald and Margaret Oesch
was born on March 22, 1952. He married his wife, Katherine, on March 30, 1974, and
together they built a life and family that brought him immense pride.

In 1980, Greg and Kate founded 21st Century Alarm/Data Inc. Through, hard work and
integrity, they built the company into a successful family business that continues today
through the next generation. Few things made Greg prouder than seeing the business and values he helped establish carried on by his family.

Greg found his greatest joy in family. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kate; his
children, Brandie (Gary) Weikart, Chuck (Carrie Paparodis) Oesch; his grandchildren, Alex (Rachel) Weikart, Brandon Weikart, Emily (Tyler) Richmond, David (Lindsay) Oesch, Donnie (Morgan McGaffic) Oesch, Derek (Grace Johnson) Oesch; his great-grandchildren, Xavier, Nora and Myles; and his best friend, Tod Mumpire. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Greg was a fire truck enthusiast and collector and enjoyed restoring and driving his trucks in local parades and events. His hobby introduced him to countless friends who he
especially enjoyed welcoming to his fire station.

Per his request, there will be no formal services. The family invites those who knew and
loved Greg to attend his memorial at his Wilson Street Station 366 West Wilson, Salem, OH 44460, on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Following the memorial, Greg will take one final ride on his fire truck before being laid to rest at Hope Cemetery.

Kate and the family wish to extend their gratitude to Dr. Dean Economous and staff, who provided exceptional care to Greg over the years, as well as the services of Expand Health at Home Hospice.
