Ellen Jean (Mclellan) Bauman

Ellen Jean Bauman, 89 of Salem passed away at Auburn Skilled Nursing Center on Thursday, June 14, 2018. Ellen was born on February 18, 1929 the daughter of the late Ronald and Adaline (Ward) McLellan. A 1947 graduate of Leetonia High School she attended training at the Salem City School of Nursing. Mrs. Bauman worked in the Salem City Hospital OB/Nursery Medical Department as well as other nursing facilities including Copeland Oaks. She attended Real Life Assembly of God in Salem and her relationship with God was very important to her and knew she was a Born Again Christian. She enjoyed entering cooking contests and Interior Design and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughters; Debbie (Don) McKinney and Judy Woods both of Salem she is also survived by five grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, many nieces nephews and friends. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Al E. Bauman whom she married in 1950 her sisters; Elinor Lafferee, Judy Weitz, her grandson and a great granddaughter.

A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Damascus Cemetery with Pastor Daniel Tayman officiating at 2:00 PM.
