Donna Jean Baugus

Donna Jean Baugus, 82, of New Philadelphia, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, at 4:15 AM. Born March 6, 1944, Donna lived a life filled with love, family, friendship, and the simple joys that brought happiness to everyone around her. New Philadelphia was the place she called home, where she built a lifetime of memories with those she loved most.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ruth Batten, her son, Scogtt Hetrick, her sisters, Betty, Mary, Loretta, Carol; and her brother Bill.

She is survived by her children, Timothy Workman and Sherry Sanchez. She is also survived by her sister Nancy. Donna also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Gwendolyn (Chris) Workman, Shawna (Bryant) Workman, Courtney (Tony) Stine, Corina (Carl) Price, Terra Sanchez, Deonna Sanchez, and Robert Sanchez. She was the proud great grandma to 20 great grandchildren.

Donna is also survived by her niece, Terri McMillan, along with many other nieces and nephews, who will forever cherish her memory. 

Donna found great joy in quilting, cross-stitching, tending to her flower beds, and decorating her home. She had a special love for hummingbirds and enjoyed sharing that passion with everyone she met.

One of Donna's greatest joys was spending time playing Yahtzee with her best friend of 38 years, Dixie McCreery. Their friendship was a treasured part of her life and brought her many years of laughter and companionship.

Donna will be deeply missed and forever loved. The memories she created, the traditions she passed down, and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In accordance to her wishes, their well be no formal services. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
