Donald J Nezbeth

Donald (Don) J Nezbeth, 86, of Sebring passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Crandall Medical Center. Don was born in Alliance, OH on Sept 26, 1939, the son of Robert and Evelyn (Goddard) Nezbeth.

He was a 1957 graduate of Sebring McKinley High School and a 1962 graduate of The Ohio State University. Don served two years as a Lieutenant in the Army's 1st Battalion, 25th Infantry Division. After the army he was a men's clothing buyer for Rich's Department Store in Atlanta, Georgia and later a buyer for Elder-Beerman in Dayton, Ohio. He moved back to Sebring when he retired. Don gave many monetary contributions to The Ohio State University, Sebring Veterans' Memorial, American Legion Post 76 and was awarded the Americanism Award in 2003. He had a lifetime membership in the Sebring Historical Society. He loved watching sports especially The Ohio State football and Cleveland Guardians baseball. Many people have listened to his life stories. He also had quite a sense of humor.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by several cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Brown Funeral Home, Sebring Chapel at 2:00 PM with military honors provided be the Salem AMVETS. A gathering of friends and family will take place the hour prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
