Della Wade

Della Wade, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, in Akron, Ohio, at the age of 86. Born on November 26, 1938, in Alliance, Ohio, she was a cherished member of her community and a source of warmth and love for her family.

Della proudly graduated from Sebring McKinley High School in 1958, a milestone that marked the beginning of a life dedicated to hard work and commitment. Over the years, she built a successful career at Ohio State Waterproofing, later serving the residents of Copeland Oaks Retirement Community. Her dedication to her roles exemplified her strong work ethic and her deep compassion for others.

A devoted mother, Della leaves behind her three sons, Steven M. Russell, Jeffrey Russell, and Bryan S.(Sheryl) Russell, who, along with their families, will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She is also survived by six loving grandchildren: Clayton, Michael, Andrew, Amanda, Brittany, and Olivia, as well as eleven great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. Della was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Opal (Hickman) Brown, who instilled in her the values of kindness and resilience that she carried throughout her life.
