David Phillips

December 24, 1975 — July 30, 2025

After defeating a long battle with Huntington's Disease, David R. Phillips passed peacefully at the age of 49 on Wednesday, July 30th with the immense love and comfort of his family.

David was born December 24th, 1975 in Salem, Ohio to David and Debra (Oliver) Phillips. He was raised in Sebring, Ohio, and graduated from Sebring McKinley High School. David then went on to work various jobs, The Timken Company being his most favored. He also served many years as a volunteer firefighter on the Sebring Fire Department.

David enjoyed spending much time with family, regularly organizing bonfires and movie nights for them all to enjoy together. In addition to making beautiful memories with family, David had an interest for golf and tennis. Enjoying baseball as well, he was a lifelong fan of Don Mattingly and the New York Yankees. David was also a beautiful artist, working with multiple mediums. His humorous personality and immense kindness brought immeasurable laughter and happiness to all who knew him. Although his time with us was cut much too short, the impact he made will last forever.

David is survived by his son, Mason, his 3 siblings-Charity (Brian), Christopher (Samantha) and Kaylee (Tom), 7 nieces and nephews-Christian, Emma, Jackson, Everly, Beckett, Avery and Trevor. Also survived by his mother, Debra, and grandmother, Carol Oliver. Proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents, Beverly (Mikol) and Edward Phillips. Maternal grandfather, Junior Oliver, and maternal great grandparents, Eleanor (Mort) and Richard Frederick and Carl Mort Sr.

No memorial services will be held.
