Obituary

Dale LaVerne Yeager, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, in North Benton, Ohio at the age of 84. Born on April 28, 1941, in Berlin Center, Ohio.

Dale graduated from Sebring McKinley High School in 1960. Dale and his wife Judi embarked on countless adventures, one of their proudest accomplishments being the opening of a campground in the 1970s. Despite facing skepticism from others, they believed in the project wholeheartedly, knowing it would lead them to forge lifelong friendships and foster a sense of family with many people. He later retired from the Marlington Local School District.

Dale was a member of the North Benton Presbyterian Church. His interests extended to the vibrant world of square dancing, where he actively participated in the Salem Square Wheels square dance club. Dale's enthusiasm and infectious spirit brought joy to many and his contributions to the club will be fondly remembered.

Outside of his commitments, Dale's hobbies provided him with immense joy. He could often be found tinkering away in his garage, nurturing his garden, or spending quality time with his cherished dogs. He had a passion for collecting a variety of items, each telling a story of its own. He shared many of these interests with his beloved wife, Judith (Manion) Yeager, whom he married on August 1, 1970.

Dale is survived by his devoted wife, Judith, and their children: Kristie (Henry) Sihock, Paul (Lari) Yeager, and Terry (Melanie) Yeager. He cherished his role as a grandfather to seven grandchildren: Thomas (Justine) Sihock, Brandie Sihock, Shyanne Yeager, Emylee Yeager, Maxwell Yeager, Samantha Martin, and Blake Brown, as well as four great-grandchildren: Aryann Belleggia, Zayden Belleggia, Raelynn Sihock, and Carolyne Sihock. Dale also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Joann Yeager, and brother-in-law, Otto "Jr" Sallaz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Dorothy (Flickinger) Yeager, and siblings, including his brother and sister-in-law, Raymond (Mary Jean) Yeager, his brother Virgil Yeager, and his sister Twila Sallaz.

A private family burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Sebring Chapel, (330) 938-2526, www.grfuneralhome.com.
