Bernard "Bud" Monter, 77 of Beloit passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Auburn Hills Rehabilitation Center. Bud was born in Alliance on August 20, 1940 the son of the late John P. and Margaret (Haidet) Monter. He was a 1958 graduate of Central Catholic High School and worked as a dairy farmer a milk tester for 18 years and a fork lift operator and lead man at the Menasha Corporation in Minnesota. he was a former member of the Washington Ruritan Club and a current member of the Damascus Ruritan Club, and he served as a volunteer fireman in Washington Township. Mr. Monter also attended the Tri-County Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife Janice (Miller) Monter whom he married on June 18, 2005 his children Lynette (Mark) Kayser of MN, Chris Monter of MN, Rick (Julie) Court of NC, Melanie (Roger) Merrick of Alliance, sisters; Jean (Ed) Harper, Pat (Al) Retone, Sandi (Mick) Smith, and brothers James, Jerry (Marcy), Jack, Ed (Judy), Dave and Denny (Belinda) Monter. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren; Kelly and Kevin, 5 step grandchildren, and 7 step great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sisters Doris Bishop, and Midge Schott.
A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown funeral home at 11:00 AM with Terry Kirsch officiating.
