Beatrice Hope (Carr) Criss known to many as "Granny", 93 of Sebring. Passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Salem Regional Medical Center. Beatrice was born November 1, 1926 at home in Kossuth, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Fred W. and Estella F. (Frye) Carr. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband James E. Criss Sr., a daughter Pamala K. Weese, four granddaughters; Lori Yeagly, Debbie Weese, Crystal Jochem, Amanda Jochem, a grandson Jerry "Jake" Weese, great grandson Shawn Weese and two son-in-laws; Jack Weese and Donald Jochem. She is also preceded in death by four brothers; Bill, Harold, Clifford Alton "Bucky" Carr, and a sister Ann Carr.
Beatrice worked at Limoge China in Sebring, then became a wife, mother and grandmother. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing embroidery work.
She is survived by her children; Sandra Criss, James E. (Brenda) Criss Jr, Rebecca (Rick) Reed, Roger Criss, Fred Criss all of Salem, Barbara Jochem of Canton, Betty Baddley and Brenda (Steve) Nagle of Alliance, and Annette (Eric) Woodley of Sebring. Two grandsons that she helped to raise; Michael (Constance) Criss of Salem and Terry (Catrina) Weese of Alliance. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 24 great great grandchildren and a sister Peg Boyd.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 2:00 PM at East Goshen Cemetery with Ray Harris officiating. The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the staff at Crandall Medical Center and Community Hospice for all their love and care for Beatrice.
