Barbara D. Pollock

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara Dale Pollock, 76, of East Rochester, Ohio, who left this world on June 1, 2025. Born on September 7, 1948, in Salem, Ohio, Barbara was a beloved mother, daughter, and a cherished member of her community.

Barbara dedicated her professional life to the art of cake decorating, she enjoyed crocheting,reading drawing and painting,and loved being a foster dog mom. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She always found joy in bringing smiles to others through her creations. She retired from Walmart, where her talents flourished and touched the lives of many who had the pleasure of enjoying her intricately designed cakes. She previously worked at Calvin's Service Station in Columbiana for many years.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Barbara was a devoted mother to her five daughters: Judy McAllister, Sherri Kellner (Randy), Tracy Cummings (John), Lorie Bush (Donald) and Sara Ruble, her grandchildren; Dale, Emily, Bailey, Rebekah, Cooper, Christian, Eva, Macen, Zachary and great grandchildren; Willow, Olivia, Phoebe, Julia and Grayson. She is also survived by her brothers James Mohr, Steve Brumbaugh, and sisters Gladys Powers, Jody Karmazin and Jennifer Zamarelli. Besides her parents James and Jane Mohr and her mother Mary (Mohr) Brumbaugh, she was proceeded in death by sisters Ruth Ann White and Diana Lodge.

Barbara’s warmth, creativity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have crossed her path.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Brown Funeral Home in Salem, with her brother James Mohr officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate her life and share cherished memories the hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Barbara's honor to the charity of the donor's choice.
